Yogurt Curry - Dahi Kadi

This is the simplest curry to make when you're in a rush or on a budget. It's delicious and great eaten with a side of veggies or even some chicken or fish.

1 onion sliced
2 green chillies sliced
1 small tomato chopped
1 tsp black mustard seeds
1/2 cup corriander
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste

2 cups beaten yoghurt
1/2 cup water

Saute the onion, mustard seeds and chillies till the onion is golden brown. Add the ginger and garlic paste. Add the tomato and cook for just 30 seconds. Add the turmeric and pour the yogurt in the pan with the water. Add salt and pepper and finally the chopped corriander.

  1. That's it? My mom used to make this with sour yogurt - does it have to be sour?
